Are you still coming to visit my Life and Times ? Wow, you're more pathetic than I am for writing this stuff. I went to my first Venture Capitalist "get together" tonight. That was about as much fun as scratching my hamstring with a cheese grater. I have decided to take the day off tomorrow and hit the slopes. However, I'll probably go in late afternoon because I have lots to do. I'll probably be at work all day Sunday for that matter.

I went to lunch at some really small mexican restaurant and I'm so full that I feel like I could explode. I could barely drink any beer after work - and that's nothing but sad !

I was score keeper for a kids karate tournament this morning. The only thing that suckes was that I had to be there ( Bellevue Community College ) by 7:00 am. It was fun though. After that I went and donated blood at the Puget Sound Blood bank. I try to do that about 3 times a year.

This season I've gone snow boarding only four times, but they have been in four different places. I've been to Stevens Pass, 49 degrees North, Alpental, and Crystal Mountain. Cool, huh ? By the way, I have changed my surveys and have archived the answers in a "survey results" page. All answers are completely anonymous. Even I don't know who answered them, so please answer honestly.

I had a sore throat this morning and didn't get to work until 1:00 pm. I still feel a little under the weather but need to get better in a hurry because it's my bosses 30th birthday party tomorrow. After work I stopped by the grocery store and bought a steak. I don't think I've ever been successful cooking red meat ... except hamburger. I think I need to marinate the steak in beer ... or just skip the steak part of that.

I went to go meet with my travel agent to start planning the trip to Ireland. When I got to her office, guess where she was ... on vacation. Weird, huh ? So I emailed her to make an appointment for next week. After lunch, Ryan (a guy I work with) and I went to the Pike and Western Wine Shop that's down in Pike's Place Market and bought some killer Chardonnay called Belvedere. That's my favorite kind of white wine. I had broccoli and cheese for dinner. By the way, try to right-mouse button click anywhere on this page - cool huh ?

Had a pretty hard day at work today because so many things just weren't going right. After work a lot of us went over to Tir Na Nog which is an Irish pub to end the week. I had two Guinesses to get ready for my upcoming Ireland trip. Then I went home and watched Supercop with Jackie Chan.

I hiked up Tiger mountain this morning with my friend, Keith. After that I went to work until around 7:30. Now I am home and recording yet another glimpse in the life and times of Brett Melton. Oh, ya ... I added a little bit of humor to my site. You can see it by clicking here.

Lisa left this morning because she had to get back to school. So, I'm once again a married single. I had lunch at Happy Teryaki. I wonder if they could fit more fat on that chicken. Went to karate again today. I'm pretty beat ! I optimized the photos on the babyphotos page so it loads a lot faster.

At 4 today, Ryan and I went down for a few beers at the Brooklyn and had a nice long conversation about everything at work ... good and bad. After work I was already to just go home and take it easy, but I was talked into going to Ray's Boathouse for a couple of brewskies. And I'm glad I did, the one-liners were flowing out of everyone's mouth like there's no tomorrow. There was a woman ( let's call her Mary, 'cause that's her name ) was visiting from Milwalkie, Wisconsin ( I think she knows Fonzie ) and I'm pretty sure we scared the living daylights out of her. She was laughing the whole time, but I'm not sure if it was that nervous laugh you get when you realize that you've been trapped in an insane asylum or if she really thought we were funny. I guess I'll never know.

Because I have to work for a while tomorrow morning updating the site at work, I decided to come in pretty late. I love sleeping in. We had another going away party at Pike Brewery for Lenny. I had two and a half beers .... alright it was three, but who's counting. He is going to work for a place down in Tukwila doing COM and ASP. I wound up working till 9:00 pm tonight getting everything ready for the site update. Today is the last day I can drink beer for 30 days. Don't ask ... it's some stupid bet I got myself into.

We updated the site for work today. It now has much more horsepower ( more servers ). I put a cookie on this page, so if you type in your first name, it will say Hello to you everytime you log in. I also finished my form on the EasyNotesOrganizer page so that it automatically emails me all values in the fields. Not that anyone will ever use it, but it's good to know that kind of stuff. If you're putting together your own page, check out my code. It is really very simple.

Climbed Tiger mountain this morning. It was the first time I climbed it when it was snowing on me. There was 1/4 inch of snow on the ground at the top. Lisa and I saw the Erin Brokavich movie tonight. Much better than I thought. I use to go down and do work for PG&E down in california. I had no idea they were involved in such a scandal.

Payday today ! Just got home from taking Lisa to the airport. She'll be in Spokavegas for two weeks doing research on some guy who built some stuff. I couldn't do it. Today I bought an Olympus D450Z digital camera online. I can't hardly wait till I get it. You can check it out by clicking here. I got my proposed trip plans to Ireland from my travel agent. It includes 16 days of fun-packed tours and pub visiting. I have a friend who lives in Dublin and he told me he's going to show Lisa and me some great sights. I hope they are sights of Irish beer.

Well, I'll tell you, , that I had a pretty good day. I finished a big task that I was working on at work, and I have figured out some cool stuff with my website. I don't know if you've noticed or not, but I'm getting pretty good with cookies. And, I'm not talking about chocolate chip. I am pretty bummed that the camera I purchased online is no longer being carried. So, I have to wait a week to get the next model up which is the Olympus D460-Zoom. It's only 30 dollars more.

Because Craig was all over me for having my images too large I was motivated to offer all images in a smaller size. Once you click on an image, like the Holiday 99 pictures or Lance's 30th Party, the image will get loaded into an imageholder page displaying it at 640x480. At that point, you can actually click on the image itself to see the 1280x1140 if you want the full size. You wonder why I do things like this on a perfectly good Friday night ? Because I'm off liquor and we all know there is no fun in life with the absence of alcohol. Go away now, you bother me.

Not too much to report today. Washed, vacuumed, armor all'd, and leather protected my car this afternoon. It was in dire need of it and I spent a few hours doing it. Did a little grocery shopping and picked up some hamburger to go with my hamburger helper. I was eating like a King tonight.

I can't tell you how excited I am to finally have my own washer and drying INSIDE my apartment. And I'll be using them quite frequently, once I figure out where the quarters go. Tomorrow I pick up Lisa from the airport coming from Spokavegas. She'll be here till Sunday when she has to go back to school. I keep asking her if she takes the short yellow bus to school ... she doesn't think that's funny. I have been really working out a lot lately. I'm starting to get my girlish figure back. By the way, a friend of mine is working on "The Bachelor's recipe list" where every recipe takes less than 15 minutes. I'll keep you posted. Well, gotta go. Please tune in tomorrow where I may or may not write anything.
