A few of us from work went to an Appreciation Dinner for my boss, Lance Nelson. I read a poem to him that I wrote and by popular demand, have posted it here for all to read. Click here to read Ode To Lance.

Hello , thought I'd give you a quick update on the year to date on this easter morning. I have been snowboarding 13 times so far this season. Stevens Pass 3, Crystal 2, Alpental 4, Whistler 1, Blackcomb 1, Mt Hood 1, Mt Spokane 1. It's been an incredible year for skiing/snowboarding. Another cool thing I did just this weekend is purchase and install the full X10 Home Automation system. So, from my computer or remote controls, I can control any light or applicance. The computer interface is good for timing - I can turn my stair lights on everyday at 6:30pm and have them turn off at 11:00pm. You can see the application for varies lights when on vacation. Also, there is a remote control and key chain remote that can turn off or on and even dim certain lights. Too cool !

Lisa and I went to the Tulip Festival in La Conner w/ Ryan and Renae Penner. We had a good time and did some tip-toe through the tulips. We also stopped by the Skaggit Valley Brewery for Lunch and the La Conner Brewery for Dinner. It was a good time.

Well, since I'm home sick, I decided to update this site a little more. Yes, I'm sick. I have bronchitis and a sinus infection so I'm on medication ... we all know I've needed medication for some time now. Anyhoo, I finally posted all the photos from the Tulip Festival so, you can check them all out if you wish. Another thing I did was to finally put up the photos from the Mt Hood trip lisa and I did this past January. We went to Lou and Susan's cabin for a while with some other friends. There was 8 of us altogether ( 9 if you count magnum, the Nelson's Yellow Lab ) and we had a really good time. Ryan, Renae and I hit the slopes while Lisa, Lance, Bird, Lou and Susan did some snowshoeing. Well, enough about Mt Hood. Today I'm going to get my haircut and that's about the highlight for today. Oh ya, almost forgot, Lisa went to Costco today and got me a brand new electic razor. It's a norelco and it's a pretty fancy one. Well, I'm off to enjoy this event filled day .... let's see, I think Perry Mason is on in a few minutes.

Today Lisa and I went and picked up a couple of purebred border collies. They happen to be siblings from a litter about 6 weeks ago and are just a bundle of energy. We named the male Austen and the female is named Saffron. After playing with them for a while, they were so tired they just conked out.

Took some time today to make a website dedicated to my dogs. It is nothing more than photos organized by date. Check it out if you want to see them. It's at: http://www.geocities.com/brettdmelton/index.html.
